We offer the following vehicle title services (click titles underlined for the appropriate document!):

Title Transfers (Car, Truck, Trailer)-

Seller:

  • Valid driver’s license or state ID, US Passport, or Military ID

  • Title

    If the title is out of state: we will need a VIN verification (i.e. vehicle being present or tracing of VIN plate)

    If signing for a company: we will need company letterhead authorizing the seller to sign for said company.

    If the name differs from the face of the title (i.e. name change from marriage, divorce, etc.): we will need supporting documents to prove the name change on the title VS the name on the driver’s license (i.e. marriage certificate, Court decree).

Buyer:

  • Valid driver’s license or state ID, US Passport, or US Military ID (common access card)

  • If using US Military ID: proof of PA address will also be required, such as a utility bill or bank statement.

If signing for a company:

  • Company letterhead authorizing the purchaser to sign for said company

  • Proof that the company exists (i.e. fictitious name approval from Dept. of State, Tax ID #, utility bill or a State/Federal Document)

    If it is a leased vehicle, the lease company must provide a POA for the purchaser to sign on behalf of the leasing company, along with form MV 1L to verify who is to receive the registration.

If it’s a leased vehicle, the lease company must provide:

  • POA for the purchaser to sign on behalf of the leasing company

  • Form MV 1L to verify who is to receive the registration.

Coming from out of state and moving into PA: For registration, you’ll need the vehicle title in hand.

Currently making payments on the vehicle and your bank is holding the title? We can help you complete an out of state title request form (no charge) and take care of getting the title from your bank. Once we receive the title, you come back in to get your car registered in PA.

Additional requirements to get your car registered in PA:

  • PA driver’s license or PA state ID

  • Proof of insurance in PA

  • VIN verifications may be required

Title ONLY:

Buyer- valid PA driver’s license or state ID

Seller- valid driver’s license

Title and NEW TAG:

Buyer- valid PA driver’s license or state ID & proof of insurance (can use a previous proof of valid insurance). If purchasing a motorcycle, motor home, or RV, the insurance card must be for such type of vehicle. Examples of proof of insurance: ID card, declaration page, or binder. Note: We cannot accept an auto change binder.

Title and TRANSFER TAG:

Buyer-

  • Valid PA driver’s license or state ID

  • Proof of insurance

  • Registration card or some sort of vehicle identification information (such as plate #) from vehicle the tag is coming from

For a truck or trailer: out of state titles with no weights listed on the title will require the vehicle to be weighed and verified by an inspection mechanic. Use Form MV41. If a trailer or vehicle was not required to be titled from a previous state, the buyer will need a notarized bill of sale and a transferrable registration card.

Title Transfer Involving Death
We will need original death certificate or original short certificate. Funeral home can fill out
form MV-39. Photocopies are NOT acceptable.

Note- Inactive Registration or Title:

Titles that have not been registered in the last 7-10 years require us to complete manual request. This may take up to 12 weeks or more.

Reconstructed Titles

We are able to title and instantly register any reconstructed vehicles that are marked as "online processing required" on form MV426B.

MV426B is completed by the enhanced safety inspection station. They will perform the inspection, then sign and date the photos required.

Other requirements:

  • PROOF OF OWNERSHIP

  • Four pictures (front, back, both sides-straight on shots and full view of vehicle) signed and dated by the enhanced safety inspection mechanic

  • Proof of valid insurance on the vehicle

  • Valid PA ID or driver’s license

  • Receipts for parts, supplies, invoice from garage, etc. to show that the sales tax has been paid

  • If salvage certificate is in your name and you are putting the car back in your name, we will need the insurance company buy-back letter showing how much they charged you to be able to keep the vehicle

  • If you purchased the vehicle from another party, you'll need either an MV3 (fair market value form) or MV13st (gift affidavit)

  • The completed MV426b application completed by the enhanced safety inspection station

  • If applicable, a weight slip for any truck or trailer that does not show the unladen weight on the proof of ownership
